Default Engine light - rough idle

Hi all,

Bought a 2007 A3 1.8T last year and everything was rosey...for a month or so. Then I got the engine light on and it started idling quite rough. Took it to my local guy but he had no idea, so went to Audi and they needed it for a couple of days to figure out what it was. They had a look then and there but didnt know what it was. They said it was ok to drive with the engine light on for a while until I could take it in. Just about to take it in after a couple of months, and I get another issue - the engine takes longer than normal to turn over and when I drive I cant rev past about 2-3000. It gets to that point then just plateaus with no power.

Any ideas??

Pull the OBD codes and post them here. There's GOT to be something useful there. I don't know why some shops throw their hands up on these cars as if they are some alien technology and none of their wrenches fit...
