hi folks,
i have a 95 audi 2.5tdi a6 with over 240 mls on the clock. she runs like a dream. recently the glow plug/ engine fault light flashes on whilst driving after a few mins or when it's the car is turned on and left idling. when i touch the brakes the light goes off for less than a minute. a friend plugged it into a diagnstic tool and the code 007w came up. it was stated as the brake pedal sensor. he cleared the code and a 20 mins after driving it came on again.

i believe when the engine fault light comes on it knocks off some bhp from the engine a a precautionary measure. any ideas how to solve this problem would be greatly apreciated.
no buzzer comes on, just the glow plug/engine computer fault light.

p.s.the glow plugs are fine

 

I would try replacing the brake light switch.
