A6 2.7T Engine Error Code HELP!!!
Hello,
My 2001 A6 2.7T has an engine error code coming up and was hoping you guys could help me identify how to fix it.
The error code is: P0117 (engine coolant temp circuit low input).
The car has 122K on it. I dont know much when it comes to under the hood. Body work is what I am more into, so I am kinda in the dark on this one. If anyone can help me out id appreciate it!

Hi, Twinturbosixer
The problem and code you're describing is telling me that you have a bad "Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor". It should be located and threaded into the rear coolant line. This line is located at the rear of the engine towards the top. The sensor should be threaded into the right side of the line near the firewall (left if your facing the car). You probably will have to remove the plastic intake duct and metal Y-pipe to see and get to it. Its a fairly easy part to replace, just get the part, disconnect the wiring connector from the old one, and don't forget to wrap a little plumbers tape on the threads before installing the new one...then reconnect the wiring connector. After that you simply top of the coolant recovery tank to replace any coolant lost during the replacement. Good Luck with it
