Gear box slipping

Default Gear box slipping

Hey guys I need help I have a audi a4 2.4l quatro 2000 model (automatic) and it slips gears from first to second and down gears as well takes a good 3-6 seconds to kick in doesn't shutter just clean misses wondering if anyone has any idea ?

Could be that you have little to no fluid in the transmission. Unfortunately once an automatic transmission begins to slip there's really no cure besides a rebuild or replacing it.

Doesn't sound good so even I I drain gearbox oil and full it back up won't make a difference cause I found it was leakin gear box oil from a fitting that goes in to the radiator

It really depends on how long you have been driving on the slipping transmission. If its been a while the clutch packs are probably shot.

It's worth a try though. Topping off with fluid is a lot less expensive than replacing or rebuilding a transmission.
