hi, i have an audi 80s 1990 model, it seized up a while ago, now won't budge at all even in neutral, someone said they had the same problem, just the selector cable was unplugged, I can see an unplugged cable, but not sure where it plugs in or if its the selector cable, can anyone help?

get under the car and look ( the loose cable wont be far from its fitting location ) which will be obvious when you look

 

Yeah I tried that, still couldn't really figure it out, the loose cable just reaches where the gearbox is, but couldn't find any plugs or anything
