Please bear with me. I have just purchased a '97 A6 Avant. Of course, I did not buy it from an Audi dealer, so it did not come with ANY paperwork (no MX records, with the exception of CarFax; nor any owners manuals).
My biggest question is, where can I get an owners manual?
In the meantime, I plan on just doing a lot of routine MX right now. So, my questions are what type and weight of oil is recommended (2.8L V6 engine)? What is the recommended service intervals (have just over 82K now)? Which spark plugs are recommended (I am upgrading to an air intake with K&N filter)? What size tires and recommended tire pressure (sorry, have not checked the door jambs yet)? I plan on doing the timing belt and water pump at 90K, although I did notice on the forums that 106K is just fine (although different engine).
Last question, at least for tonight, HOW DO YOU RESET THAT D@MN CLOCK IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER? It is set 1hr and 15 min fast. That is driving me the craziest!!!
