Actually the US turbos are better than the UK turbos. the UK turbos have plastic turbines. go ahead take a look. they also say "playskool" on them.

WRX turbos ALWAYS glow after a hard run. I'd expect it in my TT, too without worry.

 

According to my information UK turbos run backwards and boost only when the vehicle is in reverse.

Sorry, I see now that I am not looking at the information for UK turbos; I am reading about French turbos.

And it says here in further detail how the French turbos are made of cheap cheese, use a smelly sauce as lubricant and immediately raise a white flag when a German car is within sight; though when stolen and then installed directly on a German car they seem to go right along.

French turbos may also sound completely spooled up but when actually tested it is proven that it is only an annoying whistle with no real action - the boost is only a meaningless sound.
