I have an '04 A4. Someone slammed my trunk (not realizing my trunk lid is waay lighter than theirs) and the plastic ***** that clip the hazard sign onto the trunk broke and my hazard sign/holder fell off into my trunk. When putting groceries into my trunk this evening, I heard the pieces moving around inside when I closed it.

My question is:

1. Can I remove the 'carpeting' on my trunk to remove the pieces?
2. How can I fix the hazard sign holder so it says in its proper place?
