Default Help! Industrial Glue on my new Q7

I have a Q7, just about a month old. Last week I noticed what appeared to be a water trail coming from my front driver's side headlight. It was still there after a car wash yesterday so I asked them to remove it but they couldn't get it off. It appears to be some sort of heavy duty glue. I've tried goo gone, mineral spirits, nothing has made dent. I took it to the Audi dealership and the detail tech tried to buff it off but still no improvement. They recommended living with it or having the area sanded down and repainted. It's not horrible, but my car is brand new and this is driving me crazy! Before I have any major work done, just wanted to see if there were any other ideas out there.

Thanks in advance for your help.

got a pic. chances are you will have to live with it or sand and repaint but who knows there might be something thatll get it off, i remember a friend of mine had some paint or something on his nissan SE-R and took it off with gasoline, although he didnt take caution and it took off some of the paint, you may also run into some problems since most german cars have very soft clearcoats.

Try a fine detailing clay like Sonus or Meguires, then a prewax cleaner like Klasse All-in-One and wax to perfection....i hope

let me know

Best bet be the rubbing compund if you can find one becuase i find it hard to believe no one has something to removes industrial glue. the claybar wouldnt really work since its made to take offsmall surface debris such as rail dust and IFO.
