Help me to reprogram my key for A4
I just bought a cut key from audi dealer. I also bought a remote from ebay. I am going to reprogram the key. I have try the following method.
1. Take a spare key and insert it into the ignition. Turn it one click forward. (switch on engine)
2. Roll down your window just in case. Step outside the car, and lock the car with a second key.
3. With your second key fob press the unlock button. The lights should flash.
4. Now lock the car with the key fob, and then unlock it.
5. Remove the key from the lock and the key from the ignition, and try it's function.
When I insert the new key, I can see the flashing signal from the control pannel. The picture is a car with a big key. Also I found if I did not use my old key 1st, the new key can only open the door, it can not successfully switch on the engine.
My second key without fob. When I pressed the inside key with fob, I can see the light flash once. But the locked door did not unlocked. So anyone here can give me some ideals? I will be greatly appreciate your help.
