Default Help!! Newbie in distress!!

OK. I just got my 00 A4 1.8 like 3 months ago and already the check engine light came on within the first week of owning it (which isnt really a big issue just an "air flow" problem). Just recently my air bag light came on (shouldn't be a problem) but my left and right blinkers are pretty much fading to the point where I turn them on and it clicks once and NOTHING. My key fob is basically not working due to the faxct that it won't alarm or unlock the car remotely; it's probably the battery. I know these are little teeny tiny problems but I'm just wondering if all these electrical problems could be fixed by doing one or two things.. if any of you pros, (meaning YOU) could give me some user friendly advice on how to fix this plethora of electrical problems I'm faced with I'd greatly appreciate it. The engine runs pretty strong so I'm satisfied with that but it's just that it has all these little problems. If you don't have any advice to give me.. thanks for your time, but if you do.. then I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.. from your newest newbie. -Whiskeyfox

Oh Dave, LOL!

Sorry we will not be much help, unless you can provide us with some codes.
Read the FAQ at the top of the forum.

You are blindly asking us for help, but give no information to your problems, or what you have done to fix them.
Any CEL is bad, no matter how little you think it is.

Your remote battery might just be dead, but how are we to know this?

Get codes, tell us what they are, and then we can help you.

I would look into the cars history. If you will be burdened with ongoing electrical problems these cars will suck your finances dry. The market is now flooded (no pun intended) with recovery units from huricane Katrina and has been for a while. If you have a flood recovery and are dealing with electrical problems you may want to return/ get rid of the car and cut your losses. Too expensive!!!
