Im new to the forum and would like to know if anyone has had problems upon start up with the TSFI engine...
I have covered 2000 km with the TT which incidentally is superb. I'm aware that with the TSFI engine upon start-up there is a brief period (not more than a second) where the engine "DIESELS". This is obviously inherent to the nature of the direct injection engine (which in principal is similar to its diesel counterpart).
Unfortunately on 4-5 occassions when the engine is hot upon restarting this diesiling noise continues...obviously I don't insist and stop the engine straight away. The second attempt at restarting has always resolved the problem.
I have been to the Audi dealership but they negate the problem (due to the fact it is difficult to demonstrate....
Would appreciate to know if this "fault" exists on other Forum members cars.
