Default I fixed my squeeking steering wheel! And I've got a question...

So I've got an '01 A4 1.8TQ and the steering wheel has has this very noticable squeek when I turn the wheel. It sounded like I was on the turntables when I turned... anywayz... i fixed it today.
The culprit would up being the univeral joint right by the firewall on the steering column. I took the whole thing apart, soaked the U-Joint in some motor oil, and she's as good as new

After putting it all back together and re-installing my steering wheel... the AIRBAG light came on. Any ideas?

if you turned your key on at any point when you had the airbag unplugged the airbag light will come on. if not check your connectors and put some stabilant on them and clear the code and see if it come back

if you have vag-com you can just check the code.. on your airbags and it will say "Deployed" but if you clear the codes.. it will go back to normal.. i ran into that same problem some time ago.. was like dohhh didnt even think about it.. because i was installing a new steering wheel and turned the key to far to adjust the wheel.. whoops.. if you dont have VAG-COM then use the vag locator... best of luck to you
