I have an engine code that came up in my 2003 Audi A4 1.8T.
The code is P0299 Supercharger/Turbocharger under boost. Does anyone know what will cause this problem
or why this code is coming up? I'm thinking it may be a vacuum line, or an intercooler pipe that is causing this. I have reset the code twice and it keeps coming up when I accelerate above
3200rpm with my foot into it.
The car runs ok, builds power, good rpm range, no other problems. If anyone can help It would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

 

could be actuator sticking as its defined as a mechanical fault or waste gate link rod

 

Strange considering the car seems to run ok. Usually this code is associated with a large boost leak or failed turbo, or turbo control. Considering it seems to run ok, id take a look at your manifold pressure sensor readings. Use a pressure gauge to compart the sensor readings to actual. I suspect a failed pressure sensor thou.
