'01 Audi A4 1.8t with 104k. I am having an issue with directly after start up the engine sometimes doesn't completely start. it gets to about 400 rpm and runs extremely rough until i tap the accelerator and then she runs smooth again and reaches around 900 rpm. The acceleration is weird, works great until I reach 3000 rpm and then it stutters as I try to push through it especially in the cold. Engine code P0411. Just changed the fuel filter and checked vacuum lines and no change. Any ideas on where to go next are greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a picture of the Combi valve location or at least a good description of the location?

 

OK, now I am at the point where the mechanic is telling me that either the Kombi(EGR) valve or the ECU is bad. Anyone with a best bet purchase idea? I hate taking my car to mechanics but I was tired of trying to chase down a vaccum leak that didn't exist.
