Immo problem please help!
I’m having trouble adapting my key to the new instrument cluster on my 99 A6 Australian model.
I’m using genuine Vagcom cable and followed the Ross tech instruction. When I put “1” in the new value area and go “save” and new value goes back to 0.
I also get this fault code “01179 incorrect key programing” and immo light on the dash is flushing. Engine is immobilized but it alows me to starts up while I’m playing with Vag com.
I also tried adapting the remote. Remote is working but stored value is 0. Put 1 in the new value but it goes back to 0. There is no fault code in this module though.
I checked the wire goes from immo to reader coil and turn out to be ok. Tried cold booting but no joy.
Meas block is reading,,
Engine start permitted =1 (its always 0 but it turns to 1 after I start the engine)
ECU responding =1
Key condition ok =0
Number of adapted keys = N/A
The instrument cluster is from junk yard. The car has been sitting for 6month so the transponder in the key might be no good? Or is there anything I can try before buying a new key?
Please help!
