when i turn on my head light and my instrument cluster lights go on they are very dim i dont know why this is nothing else is dim. not sure what the problem coulde be. any ideas?? please let me know

What year/model ? A3, A4, A6.... ? Most Audi's have a dimmer switch , rotary dial, near the light switch, turn this to see if the instrument lights go brighter.
