Ipod2Car Hook Up

Ipod2Car Hook Up
Hello all, First time post for me.
I recently got a 2000 A6 2.8 and decided to hook my ipod up to it. I purchased the ipod2car and had Best Buy install it. When I went to pick it up they told me since the hookup had to be done in the trunk, the 12' docking cable supplied was not long enough to give enough slack to mount the ipod anywhere on the dash. Instead it is just loose in a slot under the steering wheel. Is there anywhere I can get a longer docking cable for this set-up or some kind of extension? Thanks.

This might be a better alternative because you may what to control your IPod from the IPod itself and not your stereo:
Go to my photo gallery (T2T) and checkout my IPod install. I used a PROClip and attached the interface to the dashboard between the stereo and the glovebox. You can get one of these from the following website:

Good luck
