Folks,

My 2001 Car has been running fine .....at least it was before I let my son start driving it. My 2001 A6 2.8 has 320,000 km (almost 200,000 miles) on it.

However, last night (first snow fall) .....when driving the car around 70 km/hr (40-45 mph) there would be a slight hesitation every once in a while. Almost like a slip - causing the car too slow / hesitate slightly.

I have not changed the timing belt since 180,000 km ?

Just had front right side exhaust pipe changed?

Thoughts ideas?

Car is in great shape - just don't want to spend $1000's to check on something?

Any recommendations for additives for an old transmissions (2001 A6 2.8) to make it run smoother? Problem from other day - hesitation - seems to have gone ....maybe it was bad gas? very cold out side etc...

I am surprised with 80 people having read the post - no one commented? You guys are the experts (In my mind).
