Default Keyless entry problem

I just found the right battery for my keys (Audi CS 90 Quattro) and i can't get them to work with the car....
Can anyone help me?

Its a large square pad with one button and 4 batteries go inside. It has the key attahed to it it is not a separate pad.

I tried asking like autoZone etc. but they couldn't help me.

Please reply either here or e-mail me at clasnipetya@yahoo.com

could it be its only a light so you can see the key hole at night so you don't scratch the paint work and the batteries are the wrong way round or the bulb is blown "only one button suggests this"

On my 1996 A4, the button in the center of the key's handle is indeed used to turn on a built-in light bulb. Mine uses only one button-style battery.

By the way, my key bulb is burned out. Can anyone recommend a source?

Some of those keys were equipeed with a single button that operated both the lock and unlock feature. The remote may just need to be adapted to the vehicle. Sorry but im not sure on the procedure for that vehicle.
