Hey guys, i recently got a 1999 A4 B5 1.6l (AHL engine) with only 50.000 kms on it (It now has 54.000) with full service history proved by the dealership and service book. I have noticed some problems regarding the engine:
-It burns oil. I mean about 1 lt in 1000 kms.
-After 4000 rpms in 4th or 5th gear it starts to blow smoke from the exhaust and i can feel it looses power.
-It has an oil leak from the valve cover. I chanched the gasket, but the leak continues.
-Idling is unstable sometimes and with load (for example with a/c working and turning the steering wheel all the way to one direction) it dies. That is partialy fixxed now after cleaning the engine with a method using Hydrogene, which claims to take the carbon off the engine.

My main is issue is the oil consumption and off course the smoke and loss of power. Any ideas what's going on?
