Hi - newbie here. Just bought my first Audi A6. I took it in to get an alarm installed and now I notice that the interior map lights don't turn on while I'm driving, neither does the passenger side mirror light in the visor. However, when I'm in park they turn on just fine. I can't remember if it was like this prior to getting the alarm installed since I only drove it one day.

Does anyone else have an '01 A6 that can answer this for me? I'm curious if this is a safety feature, or if perhaps the alarm installation messed something up. Thanks in advance!!!

 

My 01 A4 has the light turn on while driving and so is the driver side mirror.
check your fuse or the bulb.
