is there an aluminum for the A6 , the autobody guy is telling me when i buy the hood make sure it's aluminum. when i called the dealer and ask if there is such a hood they said nope. i am totally confuse?....please help

 

My '01 A6 has an aluminium hood, I thought they all did since 1998.

 

Use a magnet, aluminum isn't magnetic.

 

That's what I just did, went outside with a fridge magnet, it stuck to my fenders, but not to the hood.
