Has anyone seen this before, I was adding a new audio system and when I removed the driver kick panel I saw a burned spot in the insulation. When I investigated where it came from I saw a 40amp fuse half melted. This fuse controls the fans ( I think). Why did the fuse not blow, I have 253,000 miles and never had any electrical problems. When I bought the car with 15,000 miles it had some kind if front end accident. The edges of the fan blades had some damage .
Is it possible that at the time of the accident the fan got jammed but was trying to run before the car was shut down?
