The display for my NAV and MMi interface has faded out and just has a series of faded colors and lines. The mmi seems to work fine, it's just the screen.

Any suggestions? Is the screen replacement a DIY job for a newbie? I have seen the screens on eBay for $290.

This is a 2005 a6 3.2 with 69k.
