I hope that someone could chime in here and help me out with a long anoying problem I am having with noise from the steering pump. I have a 2003 A4 3.0 Quattro. When I turn the steering wheel there is a loud anoying whining sound coming from the power steering pump and also to a small extent when I accelerate and decelerate. Sounds like the ramping up and down of a jet engine. I have had the car in for service 3 times and they have replaced the steering pump on the first visit, the Steering rack on the second visit and the third visit they replaced the Banjo compression fittings ( on the reccomendation from Audi). All to no avail, the noise keeps on returning almost immediately or within a day. The dealer has been in contact with the Audi Technical center and have followed their reccomendations to replace the Banjo fittings. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can anyone point to a possible solution, or what may be causing the problem? The dealer wants me to bring the car back again and leave it for a couple of days, but they have no idea what they will do. Please help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure the power steering pressure hose coming from the pump and going to the rack isnt plugged or kinked in any spots.

They ( dealer) replaced the pump again and replaced the PS pressure line. Just picked it up today. Hopefully all will be well tomorrow. Thanks again for your help.
