Angry PLEASE SOMEONE Need Help!

I have a 02 A6 2.7tip. I have the back of the drivers side head light assembly removed. I have the red plug wire that connects to the bulb off, but cant get the old bulb out. There is a black disc holding the bulb in, does that twist off???????

Thanks for the help on Thanksgiving.

Hey, you need to pry that wire clamp on the left side of your pictures, off. It should just pop open if you put a flat heaed screw driver under it and lift. then the bulb will come right out. Remember not to touch the new head lamps on the glass!

Looks like either the black ring twists, or the bulb itself twists. The stop tabs on the bulb are butted up against the "ears" on the black retaining ring. Try twisting the bulb and see if it comes free (it may be very tight due to a gasket/O-ring on the bulb body). If that doesn't work, try twisting the opposite way on the ring. One or the other will give and allow you to change the bulb.
