oil burning solution
I own an 07 audi a4 2.0t fwd, and in the 2.5ish months I have had it, it's burnt a quart of oil and I knew about it before I bought it, so not a huge deal. I had an idea and i was hoping to get some feedback.
I've heard that one of the reasons audis burn oil, is the clearance between the cylinder and pistons. example, I read a post on here about a guy who bored the engine, and replaced the pistons (and probably the other things needed like connecting rods and what not) and it basically solved the problem.
Soooo, my thinking is, if you use that "restore" oil additive that is supposed to increase compression and what not, then it'll burn less oil. Now, idk if that stuff actually does what it says but lets assume it does. My biggest concern is because it's thicker, I'm not sure how well it would work with a turbo.
What are your thoughts?
