I posted this in the A4 section, thought it would be better in here..

This past weekend my Power Windows and Sunroof stopped working using the switches. I can roll them up and down using the key, so I'm a bit confused now. The circuit that handles that does it connect using the same wires or does it use a different circuit? That also goes for the Sunroof? I'm guessing there's a little box somewhere that deals with that, that is probably a dealership only product.

If anyone can share some ideas on what to look for to troubleshoot it, I would appreciate it..

Update:

I cleaned the all switches on the driver side and none still work, neither do the other passenger ones. So there's got to be something else down the wire. Is there anything in the chain that will cause the 4 window switches to not work? I can roll down and up the windows with the key..

 

global widow closing from the key is a different circuit, check fuse F15 that works the window switches

 

Fuse is fine, from the looks of it, I'll be taking it to the dealership next week.. I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong with it.. Arrrggggghhhhhhh...

 

i know it's an old post but hopefully someone will be able to come up with an answer!


the window closing from the key is on a different circuit than the window switches. would you be able to point me in the right direction for this window key closing circuit?

i.e. which fuse / relay etc etc ? and where anything is located. because that's exactly what I'm looking for.

I just bought a 99.5 A4 last month and just started having the exact same problem. I checked andswapped (justbe certain)every single fuse in the access panel on the drivers sidewith no avail.

Did anyone figure out the fix???
