Hi all

Has been a crazy few months trying to have my A4 2005 2.0 Diesel fixed!

1)Car stopped with oil pressure light, drove couple of miles with the light on
2)Took car to Audi who said Vacuum pump was gone
3)Had new vacuum pump put in but oil pressure light still on
4)Took to another mechanic who said vacuum pump was fine and it is the issue in the oil pump
5)Had a new balance shaft put into oil pump as old one was faulty
Oil pressure light finally goes OFF

6)Drove car around for a few miles after that/few days and lots of smoke coming out of the back/exhaust - impossible to drive!

7)Mechanic says oil not going around the car so that brings it down to

TURBO CHARGER

-Had a new turbo charger fitted and now smoke coming from the bonnett, but temperature is fine

It has been a tough 2/3 months trying to get this car fixed, and I am wondering what the next problem will be?! Anybody have any similar stories?

 

Smoke from under the hood/bonnet could mean there is oil or something getting on the exhaust. See if you can determine exactly where the smoke is coming from.
