Hey everyone, I have a 2003 A4 1.8T Quattro. I was thinking of changing the spark plugs myself. I had just had the timing belt replaced at the dealer and they told me if I replaced them, then I would get a check engine light when I was done. I just wanted to see if that was true. Also if anyone had any advice on changing the plugs (what plugs, what size socket, things to look out for etc.) that would be great! Thanks everybody : )

 

dont see why it would set off a CEL. i think their just pulling your leg.

Th eonly way you might set off a CEL is if you somehow damage the coil since it is right over the plugs.
