I have audi 2002 a4 quatt 1.8 turbo sport packet
Yesterday i wanted to change tie rod ends but when i remove the wheel i saw that steering boots was damaged and I now that i need to replace but my fear is following:
When i turned the wheel to the left end i saw that (pipe) in steering rack is going up and down(2-3 millimeters ) its that normal ? and i also when Im driving about 60 miles on road i noticed that i have like shaking coming from the front and when i make a wide turn or hit a bums on the road i feel little vibration on my steering wheel and another thing sometime when i pressed the brakes the car will go to left (not always) My question is do i need to change steering rack or just tie rod ends and boots.
