Default Steering problems after timing chain work

So I took my 03 TT in to get the timing chain/water pump nonsense taken care of and after I got it back the steering sounds awful. It makes a straining whine when I turn or even a reverberating rubbing sound during U-turns. Is this something that the mechanics could have screwed up?

thats your power steering pump on its way out. and yes that is something they could have screwed up because it is bolted togeather with your water pump. on that car.

take it back to who ever did it and make them fix it. dont take no for an answer.
