Strange Whine Noise from engine
AUDI A3 2006 - Over 100k miles
There is a very strange noise that I can hear only when driving. It sounds very high pitched, like a screech or whine and most noticeable 5 mins into the ride whenever I am decelerating (NO foot on gas and NO foot on Brake)...
It seems to be coming from the front driver's side of the engine.
You cannot hear it at all when the car is in idle. And I doubt it's the brakes because they were changed recently.
Please give me any ideas, I will check them all out, but I'm running out of my own and since it doesn't affect the driving at all I'm trying to avoid paying the extra $$$ for a check up without having at least some idea what it might be.
