This suks! - alignment issue?
Hey guys. I just installed new control arms and TRE for the front suspension. I got the car aligned, but the tech said that he couldn't move the left front chamber anymore. It was moved as far as it could possibly. Supposedly my car is at 1.4 degrees and it should be at 1.2 degrees for alignment specs. The tech has no clue what the problem could be. Any suggestions or was I ripped off by the shop?
Thanks guys.

From what NTB showed me on my alighnment sheet .2 degree is atolerable, i wouldnt worry about it, NTB also told me the same thing that they needed a special audi tool, i asked audi and they told me they use a prybar. WTF? so its been almost a year since i did new CA and TRE and havent looked back. although i paid for a 3 or 6 month warrenty on the alignement and i was in there jsut about every other week for a new alignment. so far that car run and drive perfect even at the road track and the tires seem good.

The front camber can't be moved independently on each side in the front, you can only equalize the camber from side to side by shifting the subframe. I use a big *** pry bar to do it too!
Im guessing your car is lowered a little? The lower the car gets the more negative the front camber will be, and it cannot be changed, just evened out from left to right side.

Thanks for the heads up. Say, can inner tire wear from the previous bad allignment, cause a car to pull to the right, especially when going higher speeds? I am going to test this theory out myself by rotating the fronts to the back and the back to the front. Hopefully that will fix the problem here, but your input is greatly welcome.

Yeah that's true - directional tires rotating the wrong way would probably make it feel "off", especially in the wet, as they'd effectively channel water in under the center of the tire instead of outward and away.
