sunroof
I have an 1997 A-6 AWD Quattro wagon. Recently after jump starting the car due to a weak battery, the sunroof opened and remained open, not matter what position the switch is in. I have since then replaced the battery, and entered the radio code to remove it from the safe mode. The sunroof remains open. I am wondering if there is a code for the sunroof that needs to be entered as well. Please advise

RE: sunroof
I'v got an A*, not a 6, but, when *my* sunroof wedged itself open, it was due to something getting jammed in the track, and the crappy switch malfunctioning. I popped open the little panel housing the sunroof switch (two screws, located at the front, directly above the plastic lense, at either end) and used the allen-headed wrench hidden there to manually crank the roof closed (I could hear debris crunching under the onslaught of the sunroon slowly inching forward..., no, REALLY, I could). The switch is still crappy, but my sunrrof is functional again. Of course, my roof was "attempting" to move, while I fiddled with teh switch. But, yours should atleast have that wrench-thingie (it's a technical term) to crank it closed with, until you can track down the problem...

Try spraying the switch with RadioShack contact cleaner.
Aftre spraying rotate, the switch back and forth.
