Sunroof help
1996 A6 avant. The sunroof is stuck open. The manual crank is completely stripped so it can't be used. I hear the motor clikcing when I turn the **** but nothing happens. If I remove the motor is there a way to then close the sunroof? I think the motor must turn some kind of gear that actually makes the roof close. Having plastic taped to the roof to seal the opening is really sad. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The gear is like a spur cut gear, the motor has the male end. If you take the motor out there should be a gear with about......16-20 teeth on it. I suppose you could get something in there and use a drill to get it closed as long as you get the teeth to grab.
