suspension issue
Since i bought my 1998 audi a4 1.8t quattro ive noticed the front right corner has a thunk everytime i roll up on a speed bump or hit any kind of bump on the road while driving. This includes potholes, railroads, or anything similar. It feels as if the wheel has play (it can move up/down/in/out a small distance freely). It is hard to tell while driving the car where the problem is at least, for me it is. I am guessing something is loose somewhere in that suspension assembly from the strut mount all the way to the wheel. Just not sure what it is. I know when i bought the car the guy replaced the ABS sensor or something. So whether he did everything right or not I dont know. I have not had any issues with my brakes, or lights on the gauge cluster or anything at all actually. Other than the thunk it makes. Any ideas of what issues I could be facing would be much appreciated.

This happened to me once, may not be the answer. someone replaced my brakes, before I did them myself and thye left out a pin/bushing or bolt, leaving a part bouncing around. Does it happen when your on your brakes while over a bump? Let me know.
