Tiptronic problems
Ok, my girlfriend bought an S4 about 3 weeks ago. Previous owner put over $7k into a "Level 10" transmission upgrade. We noticed within a week that the transmission was acting up. Now when going from a dead stop the transmission is not engaging. I noticed that the gear indicator is reversed in color (black on red vs. red on black) *see below. When going trough the shifter I can feel it engaging, but still won't go. I've had it pop into gear w/ a violent lurch. If I put it in park and remove the key and reinsert the gear indicator returns to normal, still not in gear. Eventually after working through the shift **** positions it will go into gear. Obviously threw a CEL as seen in the pic. I will scan tonight and post the codes. I'm a noob to the Tiptronic. I've done some searching, but having difficulty finding the same situation.
I believe that this is all the correct info:
KW1281
5HP19-FLA
It seems as though the car is only going into 4th (limp mode). It will not go into 1st 2nd or reverse.
Here is an update w/ some additional information:
I went ahead and ordered all the goodies to the do an ATF drain/flush/fill along w/ a new filter and seals.
Here are the codes I pulled w/ the VAG-COM:
Address 01: Engine
Controller: 8D0 907 551 AA
Component: 2.7l V6/5VT G 0003
Coding: 06751
Shop #: WSC 10001
1 Fault Found:

P1624 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0001
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 02: Auto Trans
Controller: 8D0 927 156 DR
Component: AG5 01V 2.7l5VT USA 1819
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC 63351
2 Faults Found:
17114 - Incorrect Gear Ratio
P0730 - 35-00 - -
17116 - Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0732 - 35-00 - -
Any help is appreciated.
