Default Tool Kit

I'd like to buy a set of tools to work on a 1999 Audi A4 2.8L Quattro, could someone recommend a list of tools for me to purchase? I specifically would like to change the gasket head seals and the serpentine belt along with the serpentine belt tension mechanism. Thanks.

this is a strange question

rent the tools from blauparts.com for the t-belt job

for cheapos try harborfrieght or northern tool

Buy a set of long ball head hex drivers- metric
also buy a set of short hex drivers-metric
Metric socket sets 1/4",3/8",1/2"drive
extension sets
torx drivers set

You can go cheap with the sockets but I would get some decent ratchets because those will break. Home depot/ lowes or Craftsman or SK,
Snap-on,Mac,Matco are good ones but around 100 a piece. You won't need that quality for one car.

screwdrivers set, pliers, stork pliers, fuel line clamps for the washer hose. magnetic tray for screws. long magnet to get the screw that got away, scraper for gasket. jacks and jack stands or ramps

That's all I can think of, but I already have a box full of tools so I really don't think about what tools I need. That should be a good start though.
