I just bought a 1993 Audi 100S..My 1st Audi...The car shifts (Auto Tran) really hard from 1st to 2nd..2-3rd isn't as hard and the funny thing it only does this when the car warms up. It shifts perfect when cold. I have had the tranny serviced and flushed out. STill same problem exists. I have heard numerous ideas to why this is doing this...heat sensor... where is that? ...computer problem...I have a extra computer module....I am really torn cuz I love this car otherwise...just need someone to direct me from there advice...please help...ty

So, is "Deanne" ashamed of "her" feminity? Afraid we'll treat a female differently, maybe? But, then, why a female name, and identify yourself AS a female?

Is it possible that "Roger" is due for a sex change[:'(], and just wanted to set up it's account to reflect the coming changes? Then, why use a male name? why not go ALL TEH WAY with "Rogina Rodiguette?"

lmao well I am Deanne, Roger's girlfriend...and it is our car...he wants to sell it and forget this mistake and I want to try and fix this problem that seems minor.

if oyu have another computer module change it and see what happens. i have a 5 speed and i had a rough harsh shfit and thud going into second from first, espaacially when the car warmed up. turned out the tranny mounts were shot the driver side one was in 2 pieces when i pulled it out. i the problem with you maybe that when cold the rubber in the mounts is stiff and not too bad but when it heats up the rubber is more pliable and the tranny is basically jerking around. just my 2 cents.

 

I had the same problem with a Chevy Cavalier I used to drive (same year, too) and it turned out to be a bad valve in the tranny. Would be fine when it was cold, but then when it warmed up shifting was hard and it wouldn't clutch itself and it would stall when I came to a stop.

 

My dear, if it were that big of a deal I would have just had you banned outright... I work in a semi-customer service environment (I'm a network security engineer for NIH), and any chance I get to yank someone else's chain is usually taken advantage of. Most here will tell you I'm a FUN P.I.T.A., and I never take myself too seriously, so if you wanna vent, I'm all ears!

I recommend swinging by the Tech Certified area of the "Member List" (PM me if you need instructions on how to access that area), and bother auditech, rayveedub, dankhound, or any of the others that carry teh TechCertified banner. They're our BEST source of technical info.
