I have a 97 A4 that has failed to pass inspection because of check engine light. OBD 2 reads code 1613 (transmission control module) but the display screen says manufacturer control. I have searched haynes manual and found nothing about this module except for the code. called the parts stores who list no such device, I have no idea what it looks like or where it might be located. Any advice would be welcome, Thank You.
