Can anyone tell me where the Transmission Control Module is on a 1997 Audi Cabriolet Convertible 2.8/A4 is located?

 

1998 Cabriolet. For the life of me, I cannot find the transmission module hidden in it's little black box. I have looked under the passenger carpeting and the drivers side. Where could the bugger be?

 

Look just to the left of the brake pedal under the dash, between the pedal and fuse panel. Not positive but I do recall one being there on a mid/late '90's Audi a few years ago.

 

Thanks, I did try that area already per information online but to no avail. I found the ECU to the left of the brake pedal and thick lines of wiring that one would think leads to the TCM but nothing. I exhausted myself, haha. I'm wondering if it could be behind the radio in the console, or maybe the trunk area; first, I need to get my trunk to unlatch and work properly as there is not a release inside the car - key only, sigh...

 

TCM is under the back seat
