Default TT ABS light won't go off

I've been having an issue with the abs light on my 2001 TT quattro for a couple of years now. But just recently, the abs light is always on. The brakes seem fine. I'm fearful of going to the audi dealer due to $$$. Any ideas first off?

Regards,

Bret

1st. check all the sensors to see if they are clean, they slip out. The easiest way to pull the sensors out is by removing the wheel and servicing the sensor that way.

if you want to test the sensors individually, you can probe into the harness connector with an AC volt meter and have someone rotate the wheel by hand to check for voltage output. dont know if ive ever seen wheel speed sensor issues on VAG products. seen some abs module problems in the past.
