tt mis fire changed all coils, and plugs, help!!!!!!!
hi there to all, i recently had some mis fire codes, i had all the coils changed and the plugs, as well as the fuel silter, i was getting realy bad back fireing, and loss of power, bad idle, had all that changed, the car ran good for about 30 min, then again on the hway my car started throwing the check engine light, and again same symptoms, at about 60mphr and 70 i get the stutering, and then check engine light, i double check the coil harnesess, wires for cracks, but did not see any thing, this happens really bad when the car is completely warmed up, any sugestions on what this might be?

If it missfires on all cylinders under load, there might be a fuel pressure problem. If the 2nd cylinder doesn't fire at all (as you suggest), there should be P0302 code. Do you get that code, or only the P0300?

i've read all of your threads about your TT. if you just recently had your timing belt changed and your car is misfiring not because of fuel, and not because of spark, and your ecm is fine, how about your crank and cam sensors?? they could have possibly been damanged during your timing belt replacement

I would check the ign control unit. I have had to change this unit multiple times on alot of 1.8t engines. In the passat or a4 it sits above the airbox, and has two plugs ,one comming in to the unit and one that exits thru the other side. It will solve your problems.

The problem is the ignition control unit , on Audi A4 's they sit above the air box. I'm not sure where it is on the TT, But I bet thats your problem. I've changed more than I can count with my hands, And your symptoms are the same. Hope this helps
