Hi there, new to the forum and have just bought a 2.6 quattro B5. I know it's not as tuneable as the 1.8 turbo, but I was wondering what mods you guys would advise. I've been thinking about some cross drilled discs and new pads, it already has a stainless exhaust system fitted and lowered suspension. I've heard that cone filters on these v6's can lose you an awful lot of torque so was wondering if it's worth buying a performance panel filter even although I may only gain 1/2 BHP!? Fitting a chip is supposed to yield good power but I'd be concerned about the engine's condition afterwards! What performance mods have you guys done and what do you think my best plan of action would be? Or any good links to audi parts specialists.

Panel filters usually aren't the best idea. Audi builds a very free flowing air box to begin with. Most of us are from the US on this board so all of the places we suggest will have some heavy shipping costs probably. [&:]

 

i'm not that fussed about the shipping costs - it's quite difficult to find many tuning parts in the uk. i'm really looking for ideas so hit me with whatever ideas or suggestions you have!
