Default Two Things...

1. Not sure if I saw it on this, or, one of the other forums, but I remember seeing a post on how to rig the rear-window switches on an A4 to auto-up. I wanted to try this process on my D2, see if it worked with them, too. NEbody know where this thread is? PM me or post a link, please...

2. NEbody know if there's a webpage NEwhere that shows parts interchangability among Audi models? Like which parts feom which A4 models fit on which TT or A6 or A8 or what-have-you... I know there's lots of specific parts/sub-assemblies, but, honestly, if they can save a little loot by using the same rotors, or headlight assy's, or window-cranks, then they will...

1.I think you would have to splice the rear window switchs into the circuit for the front switchs at the window motor.
2.Call a junkyard. They have books that tell them the interchangability of most parts.

1. I am almost 99% sure you can do it through the VAG, check ross-tech
2. Check some of the online junkyards.

In the post I saw (again, can't remember if it was this forum of one of teh others, but I've searched and can no longer seem to find it[:@]) it showed pics of the procedure. It was a hard-wire kinda thing... It involved; if my failing memory still serves, running a jumper between two of the post-holes in the rear-window switch. Or, splicing in a wire to one of teh empty post-holes in teh switch. If I ever do find it I'll post a link. If NEone else runs across it post a linkback here, please...

There used to be a tutorial on Audiworld's tech section. It was removed by request of the Author of the writeup (safety concerns?) It does require some rewiring, it's not a Vag mod.

I KNEW I WASN'T LOSING MY MIND!!!

It looked like a simple procedure, from what I remember... AW, huh? Wonder if my account is still active over there. Hmmmm... I guess having the ability to "one-touch-up your rear windows is "dangerous" or else Audi would have included that function in it's models, I'm almost CERTAIN

Well, guess I'll hafta start doing some data-minning on teh web.

Hey, Jared, you wudn't happen to know which, if any, other Audi models' Headlight assy's would fit a D2 A8, wudja? With little or no modding necessary? Everywhere I check answers me with a laugh and a "good-luck-finding-one" when I ask about replacement assy's for my D2. I'm not lucky enough to have hit the lottery and be able to pay Stealer prices. Apparently someone, somewhere is HOARDING all the ones that end up in strip yards...[:@]
