Default VAG self-leveling xenon's

01 A6 2.7T
No fault codes

I have the infamous one xenon up, one xenon down look.

I ran through the vag-com procedure...

...ignition on (car not running)
...selected 55-XENON RANGE
...04-Basic Settings
...Scrolled up to group 001
...GO!

The headlamp motors cycled through

I turned on the lights

Manually adjusted them where I want them

Then I scrolled up to group 002 from group 001 (in the same group field)

Then it says HOME LEARNED or something like that

Then I clicked DONE, GO BACK button

As soon as I shut the car off and start back up, they go right back to where they were. Drivers side is where it should be and the passenger side is on the ground.

After, I ran through the vag procedure I went back to check for fault codes, and nothing. All was normal.

Any advice? Did I follow the procedure correctly?
