Default How Many Have Had Problems With Auto Leveling Headlamps on B6 Cars With Xenon Lamps?

I got an error today while driving to work that indicated that the Dynamic Headlight Dimmer Control had malfunctioned. The error cleared and did not reappear when I drove home from work, but I am concerned that this may be an ongoing problem. I imagine this is an expensive fix if something breaks. When I turn on the lights the headlamps level off properly and appear to be focused on the road correctly as I drive.

The B6 cars with the Xenon headlamps have the Dynamic Headlight Dimmer Control. When you first turn on your lamps at night do you see them lift up?

I know this is an old thread but since i bought my 04 A6 3.0 sometimes when my headlights calibrate when the car first turns on they both go up and then down then only the right one comes back up, it does it about half the time, i have figured out though that if i leave the lights on and turn the car off and start the car again they will recalibrate but sometimes i have to start the car and turn the car off 3 or 4 times to get them both to level together, it really anoying haveing the left one aim so low sometimes... any ideas, (motor going bad, or maybe just getting stuck)
