Default very confussed

hi i bought a 2001 TT and i have been numerous service lights coming up in the gage cluster. when i bought the car there was no owners manual and i would really like to know whatthey are and mean i get the gas and low washer fluid and found out the (O) means wore break pads but am stumped on the rest

especially the thermometer witha slash through it i believe this comes up when i first start the car and its really cold or when the engine temp is very hot. if any one can help me with this i would really apreciate it.

P.S. i have terrible grammer spelling and puncutation so please forgive me for that.

I don't remember the warning sign for a thermometer with a slash through it, but i do know that audi TT clusters are pieces of crap and i have replaced several clusters for malfunction indicators going on and off for several different problems. First i would check your coolant level because it sounds like this is what your warning light is, and if its ok have someone check out the intrument cluster because its a known fault point on TT's.

(O) is probably forlow brake fluid. Add DOT 4.

This indicator also appears when the front brake pads are worn.
Most of the time, around every 10K mi., it comes on for low brake fluid.

GO TO DEALER, PURCHASE OWNERS MANUAL, there like $10.

I take it you are not in the US? The (O) is the non-US light for worn brake pads.

I have a US car, with (O) for brake pads, and low brake fluid.
